Hard times for Dhoni are yet to come. For quite some time, the incidents in the Indian cricket have been too dramatic from dhoni’s perspective.
The BCCI gambling of sending a young team to T-20 paid-off. Some of them like Utappa, Yuvraj became over-night stars who have failed or at least not up to the expectations after the 20-20 series.
Then came the controversial Australian Tour. The young Indian aggression was something new for the Pontings and Symonds. Pointing might have been thinking Indians as Sachins and Dravids, and it’s definitely a shock to see Shreeshant’s and Ishant Sharmas. Bhajji has been the center of the entire controversy and the revenge of the Indians deserves all the praise.
Though fresh talent had come to light like ishant Sharma and regaining form for Irfan Pathan was good for Indian Cricket in the long run, it might prove disastrous for Dhoni in coming days. There will be times when Dhoni will need a stable, experienced team rather than a team based on too much experimentation.
So far he has been good and as a captain kept his cool and guided the team.
The CB series win was almost a dangerous gamble paid-off by dhoni. If it was not for the two excellent , deliberated innings of Sachin all the newbies would have given way to the mighty Aussies.
Till now the team is in good shape and the show time is again beginning from day after tomorrow. If the Dhoni team can match their wits with Smits’s men it might go a long way to prove dhoni’s efficacy as yet another successful Indian captain, but this time he is famous as well.
